I have been leaking exhaust around my header collectors and bought copper. The copper is too rigid to pull over the lip like I did the felt material. Any idea how to get it over without cutting apart my exhaust and rewelding?

Have you tried removing all of the collector bolts?

Yes. I only have access from one side and the copper won't stretch to fit over. I'll either have to notch the copper (seems stupid as it will probably leak) or stick with felt.

I'm with Bob on this, confused! The collector gasket can only be fitted when the bolts are removed and it is not pulled over the lip. It is meant to seal against the lip. Sounds to me like you are trying to put it in the wrong place! HTH
Cheers, Martin.

fellas, I hadn't worked on a car in 20 years when I started this project. I think you are dead on right that I had it installed in the wrong place. No wonder it leaked!
