i am about to install an electric pump on my car. does it have to be mounted at the tank?? would it work just as well mounted kinda low in the engine compartment? thanks.------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-7.51 @89mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://prestage.com/site/site_display.asp?SiteID=141

I have always been told that electric pumps push fuel much better than they pull it. So I would always mount them near the tank.John

Near the tank and low on the frame. Like the boys above stated, they're great pushers, lousy pullers.
