Since the 5.0 HO uses a elec. fuel pump and also has a double roller timing chain, does anyone make a timing cover for a double roller timing chain that uses a mech. fuel pump with a normal (not reverse) style water pump???

Also where could I get the eccentric for the pump???

Thanks for all of the help guys!!

The Fastback has a performance timing chain in the 5.0 based stroker. The front cover is from a 69 Windsor and I was able to install the crankshaft oil slinger too. There were no interference problems. I think the make of timing chain/gears determines how they fit under the older covers.

Your local FORD dealership will have the eccentric for the fuel pump. I got a 2 piece for my engine from them.

Yeah just buy a double roller chain for an older 289/302 and it'll fit fine in the older mechanical fuel pump type cover. The cover on the 408w is the original one from the 289 on our '66.
