Depends on who makes it. The one I used to have ran regular size jets because C & S specialties designed it that way. It had massive holes drilled in the metering block just above the jets. It worked flawlessly with 80's at all four corners. I also ran a Hilborn belt drive pump to supply the carb with plenty of fuel, bypass log was a DSR bypass jet holder and Aeroquip fuel log. Some alky carbs require very large jets, it depends on who made the alky carb. JS

My carb uses the larger alchy jets, AND has the hole drilled in the metering block just above the jets on the primary side. I beleive the HP series carbs take the big jets like mine uses. For your car, I would bolt it on first and see how it runs. Your motor will let you know if it needs more jet or not. If it starts to lay down on the first pass, get out of the throttle. Alchy burns stuff up in a hurry if it's too lean. I made one pass with mine too lean and it burned the electrodes off half the plugs. I also run one step colder plug than on gas, and maybe add some initial timing (the last one once again is dependant upon the motor). Plus it helps to have a small bottle of gas to start it the first time for the day. Squirt a little gas down the carb before trying to fire it the first time each day, and it should pop right off. Also, alchy likes heat. Try and keep more heat in the motor than you would normally on gas. I try to stage at 170* with mine. Plus, the last pass of the day, get the temp up over 185* befor shutting it off (I like mine between 190-200), and leave it there, don't run the fans and pump to cool it off. It helps evaporate the moisture out of the crankcase and will keep the oil cleaner. Good luck.
