Anyone hear more news of this?
I read it on www.competitionplus.com
Could a new racing complex be headed to the Carolinas? Reportedly, a group is working on a complex that could also feature a NASCAR track in Canton, NC. The word is that the IHRA could have first dibs on the project.

Yes, it's true!! It will be called Canton Motorsports Complex and will be located about 5 minutes from where I live!! It has been in the works for the past several years but the builder has had finance problems and problems getting some federal permits. A local source tells me that it should be up and going within the next 3 years!!!

You wouldn't want an NHRA track down here. They might allow such horrible devices as transbrakes in the modified et class, like the majority of the country now runs.  All those footbrakers that go rounds against delay box cars wouldn't stand a chance. Seriously, it's will be too far for me to go too.
