Just the kind of thing that drives everyone crazy. The 800 that we had on the Capri finally decided to die an overdue death so we replaced it with a 1050. We had to take the power valves out of it so it was drivable and jetted up accordingly. Where it gets different is that it sits on a Stealth (dual plane) intake. We have had to go real big with the squirters to get the stumble out of it. There are 76s front and back with 96 jets all around. The problem is that when we come out of the water box it gets real raspy and stumbles but will clean itself out most of the time and leaves the line with no problems. Then there are times that it seems to clean out fine but will slightly stumble as we leave the line. The results are obvious. Anyone have experience with a dual plane-Dominator combo? It's a 8082-1.

Two things that I would look at are: 1) Float settings. I like mine lower than most. 2)The size of the air bleads.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS! Alex, This carb does not have screw in air bleeds. Everything I have read says that 8082-1 carbs come with them. This carb was purchased used, so I don't know how old it is if that would make a difference. Why do you run your floats lower? Ours are set at the recommended height and I talked to a guy on the weekend that said he runs his about 3/4 into the sight plug. If all else fails I'm going to go up a couple of jet sizes all around. The plugs say that it could take a bit more fuel. Would running a power valve on the primary side make a difference? Thanx Paul
