Over heard at the Ford Racing Reception last Friday nite at the 100 yr Ford Celebration that the budget is tight on racing sponsorships at the current time and that they have John Force so why do they need to sponsor a Pro Stock car...

I don't think Ford realizes that any drag racing fans that are Ford fans are smart enough to realize that the Ford funny cars are bogus.

Probably part of the reason the NMRA and Fun Ford are so popular is Ford's lack of REAL presence in the NHRA's "big three" classes.

I'm super-glad there's a competitive Ford back in Pro Stock! It's a Ford fan's typical "one against them all" but they're starting to kick a$$ and take names!

Me TOO! It's cool to have Scott back in there in a Ford. Ford should get behind him and let's get going with the program.

This is a little off subject, but Ford may not believe that pumping money into sportsman racing or even ProStock will help make there sales go up, but I beg to differ, if anyone goes to an all Ford event, FunFord,NMRA ect. take a look at how many late model Ford tow vehicles there are in the pits. Maybe they would get the message if we threatened to buy chevy or dodge trucks!

In FoMoCo's defense, they do pump MILLIONS into MCA, FWC, FFW, and NMRA.
Unfortunatley they target too many existing customers that way to try and maintain loyalty. The morons in the marketing dept. just can't seem to get it through their heads that good running "WINNING" FOMoCo products might just sway owners of competitive makes into buying a FORD product!
