270S idles with 'just enough' chop to let you and everyone around you know that we're not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy I run that same camshaft, intake, and heads on my motor. It's got good street manners, makes a ton of torque down low and screams to 6500+.
Concider going with a thin MLS gasket to help out the compression issue, check out www.cometic.com. Milling the heads is an option as well.
You'll need nail down your valvetrain geometry with a pushrod length checker. You'll find that you'll need longer pushrods in the 7.300"-ish range; each brand of rocker arm will vary slightly so there's no 'rule' as to which pushrod to just go out and buy, so you will need to mock it up and determine it yourself.
Doing a piston/valve clearance check is highly recommended using the clay method. With a 270S, you're not likely to have any problems at all. With the 282S, you're likely looking at flycutting all 8 pistons. I like to do p/v checks with the head directly on the deck, no gasket. If it's good without the gasket, it's real good with it.
There's lots of good tech info included with the Trick Flow heads, including all of the above. Read it several times, make sure you understand it all completely. It sounds like a lot of work, but there's no free lunches
