been hearing allot of horrible things about this stuff lately. Was talking to a chevy guru the other day and he cant count how many intakes , headgaskets, radiators, heater cores hes changed due to this stuff. In fact apparently gm dealerships keep ungodly amounts of intake manifolds for 98 and up gm's in stock which is very unlikely unless theres serious problems. He showed me a headgasket out a 4.3L truck that was almost completely eaten away from electrolysis. I also spoke to the owner of becool radiators and he STRONGLY recommends not using this stuff in any of his products and recomends completly flushing it out of the vehicle . Apparently after 10-20,000 miles this 150,000 mile long life coolant turns to gunk! and it is not compatablewith the green stuff. this stuff eats anything sof such as aluminum plastics and sealants. I flushed it out of my fathers jeep this weekend figured id share this info with you guys might save ya a headache. Anyone else have experience with this stuff? I sell it at the shop i work at but i am thinking twice about it.------------------ The heartbeat stops here. [This message has been edited by Dynoram (edited 06-12-2003).]

Yep, my Grandpa's truck wrecked a motor because the o-ring intake gasket got eaten away by that crap and the antifreeze got in the oil and wrecked it. When he had a new motor put in they put that dex-cool crap back in it. I will be flushing it out early next week.------------------ 1970 coupe restored with the help of my dad. 302 with 600 holley, aluminum intake, headers, pertonix ignitor 2 with matched coil, lakewood bellhousing, 4-speed toploader, and 2.79 open 8" rear. Thats odd, I have heard the same things, But my mom and dad have had the fallowing cars with it... Jimmy 60,000miles, Sierra 30,000miles, Grand Prix 8,000 miles.I have had the fallowing with it... Grand Am 60,000miles Sierra 20,000miles and my new truck with 700miles. None of them have had any problems at all. I hope they don't start either!

Yeah tell me about it. I work in a truck shop as a Mack Certified Tech. and I see at least 4 different COLORS of antifreeze everyday. Of course there is the green and red, but know the new trucks are coming out with blue(Made by Fleetguard), and now I hear someone has come out with yet another color. I thought cars sucked to work on, but trucks are getting just as bad.
