I went to test and tune in Memphis tonight and man was it fun. My car is really not even tuned in yet and it is amazing me. I normally run 1/8ty mile but my car is geared where I could run 1/4. First pass, they didn't spray the track. 60 ft = 1.59 spinning badly, I got out of it then back on the gas but not all the way ( still had a bit more to go b4 WOT.... 330 ft was a 4.20 ... 1/8th mile was a 6.30 @ 120.90
I got out of it past the 1/8th mile mark but didn't get on the brakes because Memphis has lots of shutdown room. IT ran through the 1/4 mile 10.014 @ 114mph OMG what is it gonna do when I turn it loose? I need a new driver with ice water running through his viens needless to say I am very happy. I managed a 5.93 on the next pass but they never sprayed the track so I packed up and went home. Lots of guys were crowded around my old primered junky looking Ford. I was very proud. I think I,m going to paint it this next week. Life is good.

CONGRAT'S JERRY!!

Sounds like it was a FINE outing & thanks for sharing it with all of us!

It seems there is more than enough bad luck rolling around so it's always cool to hear about someone having a successful session at the track!

-- maybe it's time to post an updated pic of your ride with your smiling face standing next to it?

Thanks fellars,
Ryan, I'll get some pics after it's painted, it looks crummy right now, all primered.
KV, you might have to come drive this thing to get a REAL low time. You prolly weigh 100lbs less than me AND I'm going to have to babysit it a few more passes till my nerves get used to 9 second blasts.

I'll drive it so long as it goes straight when it leaves. Front tires on the ground is optional.

Then it's already one up on my car. Every once and awhile my car will take a notion and head for the tree, or the guardrail.
