I want to convert my 68 Falcon to manuel trans, I know it will have to be early 28# How do you determin what flywheel to use the 164# tooth of the 157 tooth,is there a different bellhousing for each flywheel? I got a bell housing for manuel from yard can't remember number on it. I asume the large 164tooth is foe fill size vehicles and 157 tooth is for small cars amd I am assuming my Falcon will need small 157 tooth, will the starter spinn it???

You will need the appropriate bell housing to fit the flywheel you use. Also you will need a manual starter or a late model gear reduction starter.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS! I don't think it really matters which one you use but the 157 tooth gives you a little more room in the smaller cars like the mustang and falcon for your exhaust.------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html

Yes. Measure the bell housing across from the starter hole end to the other side. I'll tell you then which flywheel you need.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS!
