Free. No entry fee. Track is putting up prize money and no extra entry fee! Race within a race! (Smart track operators - keeps the fans happy and in the stands watching awesome racing and wheel stands by the "visiting team".) Heard from Alex a little bit ago. Has been having problems hooking the car (track not prepped at all), but with constant adjustments to launch RPM and tire pressure, he got it to hook finally. Bad timing though, hooked first round of s/ss combo, and he had to play the top end to slow himself down so he wouldn't break out. This is very hard to do in an 1/8th mile 6.90-7. second race (when you aren't used to it). He ran a 7.08 on a 7.07 dial, opponent ran 7.652 on a 7.65. DOH! Tony's still in the combo though! Tomorrow, one more time run then elminations at noon EST. ------------------ Beth Head Cheerleader for Moneymaker Racing! So, Tony made it to the last three cars in the combo! But didn't make it to the finals Five rounds won and no payout by ONE CAR!!! DOH!The convertible broke too. Rear end is toast. Second round of the combo. Didn't even make it to race day. And in a separate incident, it was scratched. Grrrr. No more "rent a racecar" for it if I have my way. Only a Denysenko or myself behind the wheel from now on. Weather doesn't look good either. They moved up eliminations to try to beat it. Alex is #2 because he couldn't hook the car during qualifying. So he will get second round bye if my math is right and he gets past first round. He didn't tell me where Tony qualified. It's not been a good weekend. Let's see if they can turn it around now! Gave Alex a pep talk, hopefully it will help! ------------------ Beth Head Cheerleader for Moneymaker Racing! Myself and Tony both made it down to six cars (quarter-finals) left before losing. After several .50 lights, I went red against John Musial, throwing away the bye run into the final. @#$%&*!!! Tony and I in the final would have been pretty cool.Mike ------------------ Mike Carr Stock Eliminator, NHRA 1302 / IHRA 1302 Street ET 1302, Quaker City Raceway, Salem OH 22 years old E-mail: [email protected] AOL IM: MikeCarr STK1302 "Hookers are headers, NOT street walkers"--Jim Fontana, S/S racer.

Tony did very well this weekend going 6 and 4 rounds respectivly. I sucked! Buff also did exceptionally well in a tough field. I sucked! This was one weekend where I got behind from the out set and played catch up. From the second we rolled in the place I knew that I was not going to have a good race. I sucked! ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS!
