Dynoram, I also was concerned about my OEM torque boxes on my '69FB. So before I installed my Cal-Tracs, I ask a friend who was very good with a hotwire welder to weld up all the edges of that make up the torque box on both sides. As you know, OEM only has it spot welded and here & there bead welded. I dropped out the front eye of the leaf springs to allow better access to all the angles of the T-boxes. We didn't add any metal. I don't have a cage or rollbar (yet). I do have newer 5-leaf springs with the Cal-Trac aluminum front spring eye insert installed. I believe Calver Racing recommends Tbox reinforcement as well.Good Luck! Ryan ------------------ The '3-Pedal Attitude' Kid In a '69 FB w/ 4-spd'd 306", but the 460+ is on the stand!
