I've heard the JPT makes a Powerglitch PRO-TREE transbrake the does not require the transbrake button to be engaged while in reverse. I wonder does anyone know if this is indeed a fact?

Jerry,

I don't know about the JPT brake, but if they don't I have a possible solution.

I have a BTE Pro Tree brake in my glide. I put a toggle switch on the dash. Ran 12V to it and then from the switch to the transbrake output of the delay box. I just flip the switch when backing up. Then I don't have to hold the button. Works great and you won't forget to to turn it off because once engaged it stay in reverse until you turn it off.

I didn't think it was possible to have a pro tree brake that the brake didn't have to be engaged to back up. I thought that was part of the "pro tree" designation.

A couple of companys like Turbo Action have a Pro Tree brake that you don't have to hold the button to use.
I have the toggle switch already thanks Dave, I was looking for one that didn't require a switch.

Dav

I ran into a problem of forgetting to turn the switch off one time and burned up the TB solenoid.

I'm not sure about the PG brake.
Call Bob or Jim at 517-663-0578 and they'll clue you in directly.

I haven't had that problem yet. Knock on wood. In the dragster about the only time I use reverse is to back it off the trailer and back up after burning out across the line. With the toggle switch on it won't go forward, so that's my reminder that it's on.
