Installing my intake, got to the instruction "Coat head surface and both side of O.E.M. gaskets with Edelbrock Gasgacinch #9300."

Can i not use it, i'm tossing on fel-pro gaskets

What it does is holds the gasket to the head surface so that when you sit the intake down, the gaskets won't move on you. PERMATEX makes a similiar product and yes you can mount them dry.

screw a couple of long studs into the bolt holes on the head. this makes it a lot easier to sit the intake on straight. just slide the intake over the studs then start a few more bolts, remove the studs and replace with the regular bolts. just make sure the studs are long enough so you can get ahold of them after you inl the intake. if you are running a smallblock, throw the end gaskets away and run a 1/4 in bead of silicone sealer in their place. this will work a lot better than the gaskets. good luck

so don't bother with the gasket adhesive?

I got permatex high tack spray-a-gasket

should work the same
