I saw an ad for a cleveland motor for sale,so I called. It turned out to be a deal where someone had it in storage for the last 8 months and never returned for it. 351c 4v open chamber heads that have been machined with the screw in studs installed and Manley 1.7 roller rockers, brand new Trw 12.5:1 pop up pistons in a standard bore block,Edelbrock 351 4v aluminum dual plane intake and aluminum water pump,4MA std,std crank, all new bearings with white break in grease on them!D1ZE balancer, excellent condition D1 stock manifolds and all the other junk that came with it. $300 Canadian!!! I felt like I stole it! I'm not very familiar with the pop up pistons and open chamber heads but I know "Kid Vishus" is. I might need a few pointers.------------------ 351c 4v clsd heads 60'1.580 1/8 [email protected] 1/4 [email protected]

If they are the domed pistons for closed chamber heads, you will have around 10.5-1 unless the block has been decked or the heads milled. I have ran them for years. About the only difference as far as tuning goes, is since there is a big dome sticking up in the chamber, they require more timing. That's why my motors always run best with a bunch of timing in them (my current motor is the same way). If it's going to run on pump gas, you will have to be conservative with the timing or it will ping. If they are the 12-1 pistons for open heads, you will have around 12-1 and it wont run on pump gas at all. That is a steal. I wish I could find a deal like that.

I think they are the domed for open chamber heads. They are L2408F. The heads that came with it are open chamber with screw in studs. I figured they would be race fuel only. I'll hang on to them for down the road if I want to go that route and maybe make a bit more power.

Going to have to build another garage for all the stuff you got that sounds like a great deal. Drop over and get the engine hoist from the house.
