Are their any manufacturers that make Trans-brakes for the 24 spline early c4?Can you use fully manual reverse pattern valve bodies with trans-brakes? Is it better to? please let me know thanks (sorry for all the questions)

the trans brake would work if you went to a hardened input shaft 26 spline which can be changed but then you have to get another torque converter ..the 24 spline will snap like a twig under that kind of pressure..I would build a 70 or newer with the H servo myself--Bruce

They don't make your trans shift harder. Trans brakes are used to lock your transmission in place while you load up on the converter at the line. It's like a much more effective form of a line-lock.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com

All I can add is that a t-brake engages reverse while the shifter is in first. When you let go of the button, reverse releases and you're off. Pretty simple and very effective. SteveW
