I do not have a alternator at this time due to installation of elect. CSI water pump--still need to figure out how to set up. What is best battery to use in this case where I will use battery charger between rounds?

Jim, I run an Optima and it has served me well. I don't run an alternator either. Although I am thinking about adding one in the not to distant future.

For racing and light weight, I like the Reactor product, but in a bracket car you can't beat the Champion Group 31 batteries at Sam's Club for the price and performance.
