Still learning.... Latest problem, I get good bite off the line, no spin until about 30' in and I think its spinning when I shift. I'm runnung MT 28X11.5 slicks with cal-tracs system. Any Ideas?

You've gotta give us more to work on here. Doesn't spin 'til 30' out? How quick is this car? I'm guessing it's not tire shake. Tell us more...

Had same problem when I installed cal-tracs. I fixed the problem by backing off the preload to 1/4 turn and installing rancho shocks set to 5. No more problems

You might want to check your pinion angle also. Mike told me what your 60' times are. Sounds like maybe the caltracs aren't forcing the rearend down once the cam comes in.

This interests me. We need to improve our 60 (now 1.78) and have tried changing the shocks from 1 (driver side) 2 (passenger side) to 5s on both sides and slowed the 60 by .005. We have slide-a-lincs, but I am told they work very similar to Cal Tracs.

Any suggestions for me as to how to set the traction bars/shocks to maximize their effect?

More to work with, its a 90 mazda p/u, 302, c4, 9' 4:11 rear. Our best run so far is 8.22 with 1.90 60 ft. The truck hooks good off the line but we think its spinning not far into the run. There is a good possibility that the track just won't hold it as its not a very popular strip and not many cars run there. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try adjusting the preload tonight ( if it don't rain).

James, looks like mike will be here this weekend to play with it a little. Then he can give you some first hand info to work with
