Not that long ago kid vishus was flirting around with nitromethane, and there was some information posted about mix ratios with gasoline and alcohol. I was one of the people who looked up info, and can no longer find the posts using the search feature.

Where did they go????

Thanks!

Mike,

It was probably deleated. SteveL has to clean out the old posts to make room for new ones. He archives some though.

I remember that. And in retrospect, it wasn't smart of me to do that at all. Seeing's how I had a cracked main web, adding nitro was probably the wrong thing to do to an already damaged motor. I did get lucky and not completely blow it up.

I did learn that a 5% mix with 6 degrees of timing removed runs just as fast as without the nitro and with the timing in the motor. I should have left the timing alone. It would have went faster then. But it might have deposited the crankshaft on the track too.

A also remember that you didn't fatten up the mixture nearly as much as our calculations indicated you should have...
