Does anyone know what Smithy mufflers sound like? Are they the same as 'purple hornies' or 'red hots'?

If they are glasspacks they probably sound alike.

as I remember Smittys are steelpacks with steel wool instead of fiberglass and are deeper and won't burn out,bir the biggest dia is about 2" and that aint big enough nowadays,lovely sound on a flatmotor Y-block or a old 6holer chev with split exhaustmanafold
