I went through the search option and I'm still not quite satisfied. I have a 351c with closed chamber heads and flat tops (around 10.5:1). My cam is Crane solid .570/.590 with 246/256 duration @.050
Now, with about 71 degrees overlap should I be able to run on pump gas (94 octane)?
I would like to try it with 32 degrees timing and go up to 36 max. to find out the results. I'm currently running 100 octane with 39 total.

Last 351C 4V chassis dyno showed most power at 34 degrees with 93 octane.

Hope this helps

I have a very similar speced Cleveland and it made its best power with 34 deg. timing It didn't like 94 octane though.

My cleveland has closed chamber heads and flat tops. My cam is very close to the one you have. I have calculated the compression at 10.26:1 and I run 93 octain pump gas even when I race. I run 36* advance and have had no signs of detination.
You should be fine.
I have tried racing gas and gained nothing at the track.

70coupe have you ever tried 104 super octane booster? We used it with 93 oc.Ammoco with very good results. With no octane booster it pinged like crazy, alot cheaper than race fuel too.popeye
