two89w Gearhead Posts: 230 From: sydney australia Registered: Sep 2002	posted 05-01-2003 06:00 AM i have slip joints in my headers,there is a leak comming from the slip joints. i was advised by one exhaust shop to use"plain old silicon" another shop said use "hi temp silicon" what would be the temperature of the headers? the slip joints are about 18inches away from the heads? what silicon should i use? If it didn't burn up there, 18 inces away from the head should work.
