Has anyone heard of Hawks Racing stroker cranks, they are sold on ebay for pretty cheap and i wanted to know if these are of good quality or if any one has had problems with these cranks?what duration and lift cam would perform the best on a 393? looking for 500 or more horsepower using victor jr. heads, victor jr. intake, and 850 or 750 double pumper.

STAY AWAY!!! THESE CRANKS ARE JUNK. I BOUGHT ONE IN DECEMBER FOR $300 OR SO THINKING IT WAS A DEAL. AFTER $6OO IN MACHINE WORK THAT $300 WAS NO DEAL. BOB WEIGHT OF 1900...NO WAY. THEY TELL A BUNCH OF LIES TO MAKE THE CRANK SOUND GOOD. IT DID SPEC OUT TO A 393 (3.850) BUT THE THROWS ALL HAD TO BE SHAVED DUE TO HITTIN THE PIN BOSSES. MINE TOOK 4 SLUGS OF HEAVY METAL TO GET THE DAMN THING TO BALANCE. THE GUY WONT RETURN ANY EMAILS ONCE HE GETS YOUR MONEY. AGAIN....STAY AWAY!

SCAT IS WHAT I ENDED UP USING. OHIO CRANKSHAFT AND EAGLE MAKE GOOD KITS ALSO. DSS IS ANOTHER PLACE TO CONSIDER WHEN BUILDING A STROKER MOTOR. GOOD LUCK AND SPREAD THE NEWS ON STAYING AWAY FROM THIS HAWK CRANK. MIKE
