I have changed from a standard to a automatic in my 66 mustang and the transmission I bought was out of a 69 and it has a plug hanging of it don't know what to do with it. I also have my back up switch left from the standard what should I do with this.

It's the neutral saftey switch. There should be a corresponding plug under the dash as part of the original factory harness that will plug in.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." The wires from your original backup switch connect to 2 of the wires[black/red from memory] while the other 2 [red/blue] connect up to the start circuit..There is usually a plug in the harness which you disconnect, which opens up the start circuit ,then connect each side of this plug to the red/blue on the neutral start switch
