I need a catch can on my car, 66 Mustang. Can I get a plastic overflow container and metal bracket off a junkyard car or do track rules require something more specific? If junkyard is OK, does anyone know off-hand of a car to look for that has a small, clean looking catch can for this application?

Matt

matt, i use a radiator catch can off of a 1970 chevy truck. it has a metal bracket and the plastic tank will slide in and out for emptying, cleaning etc. i think the rules just say "a catch can"

Aftermarket overflow kits sell at chain parts stores for about $10.

Budweiser tallboy can!! That's my brand of choice even. Judging from my past experiences w/ police, I'd probably get busted for open container w/ that under the hood.

Really Moneymaker?

I should post here before I do anything. A couple weeks ago I spent about an hour with a plastic water bottle with a straw hole like the biclyclists use turning it gloss black then "installing it" into some preexisting holes with a couple wire ties.

For $60 I didn't want to order a chrome tube from Summit, but $10 would have been less trouble and passed tech for sure.
