To mate a 460 to C4 trans what bellhousing will work?

400 M or 460 C-4.
Not that hard to find in junk yards.

You mean that C4's came stock behind these motors Alex. If so I didn't realise that.

Yes sir Roger.
It was cheaper for FoMoCo to install a C-4 behind a 400M or 460 in a Torino Elite or Montego/Cougar from the mid to late 70's.

The bell housing you seek is VERY common in Canadian junk yards.

Not very common, i've found a few in mid 70's 351M Cougar, Torino and LTDII's.
If you are planning this to live behind a 460 in a 3000+lb car i'd consider a C6 instead. It'll take a bunch of expensive parts to make the C4 reliable if the engine makes any real power.
