400 M or 460 C-4. Not that hard to find in junk yards.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." You mean that C4's came stock behind these motors Alex. If so I didn't realise that. Roger------------------ 65 comet project 84 T-bird 302/C4 14sec street/strip Made in CANADA built for speed #1145

Yes sir Roger. It was cheaper for FoMoCo to install a C-4 behind a 400M or 460 in a Torino Elite or Montego/Cougar from the mid to late 70's.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." The bell housing you seek is VERY common in Canadian junk yards.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Not very common, i've found a few in mid 70's 351M Cougar, Torino and LTDII's. If you are planning this to live behind a 460 in a 3000+lb car i'd consider a C6 instead. It'll take a bunch of expensive parts to make the C4 reliable if the engine makes any real power.
