Went well. No real problems with the actual change. Bigest problem was the darn air cleaner would not fit. We had to modify (and I use that term in its true shadetree machanic meaning) a drop base cleaner we had. Took more time to clean the old gasket off than it did to swap out intakes. We used the gasket removal stuff from the O'Reilley's. It did help, but not much. Any hints for future gasket removal? We now have a small stumble going to WOT. The local speed shop owner tells us that is normal for a single plane intake. We thought about going up in squirter size, but he said it would not totally eliminate the stumble. Any thoughts/suggestions on that? All in all, not a bad day. Just those darn little things that make the weekend projects last longer than they really should. Anyone ever experience that?

Holley 650 double pumper (4777). It has the stock squirters & pump cams, which I believe are 28's and pink, respectively. [This message has been edited by 65_289 (edited 04-13-2003).] [This message has been edited by 65_289 (edited 04-13-2003).]

Pick up both the front and rear squirters to 31's. Leave the cams alone.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
