If i'm not loosing alot of compression by my rings could i toss in a set of new pisons without machining the block, it's a low milage (60,000), woman driven block...(not saying all woman are nice on thier cars, but this one was)If i were to inspect and see if there was any gouges or anything in the cylinder walls and there were minimal/none or is this the worst idea ever? would be tossing in this kit http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=FEM%2DCSMHP802%2D000

If i measure and find that there is no out or round cylinders more than 0.005 in. and no more taper than 0.010 in. it should be allright according to haynes manual. but i would like to know from some other people that "know" ford enginesthanks

I'd take it to a machine shop and let them measure it.If its within specs, just give it a quick hone job and install new pistons and rings.
