I'm running an old MSD 6A. I don't think they offered the 6AL when I bought it a few years ago. I like the idea of a rev limiter. Back then, I don't think MSD mentioned not to used solid core plug wires which work OK with the 6A for me. Would I have to go to spiral core wires if I change over to the 6AL? I don't suppose there is a way to just add a rev limiter to the 6A, is there? Thanks for any help.

These days with all of the RFI possibilities I would never use a metal core plug wire with any modern high output ignition amplifier.
It's hard to even find some anymore.
They were great in their day as were dual point distributors.

Thanks Alex. What's a decent plug wire set to get? My coil is mounted on the inner fender so do most of the universal fit ones come with a long coil wire? I was considering the Taylor Spiro Pro or Moroso Blue Max.
