I have to tear into my New 770 Street Avenger too dig out the Clear float level sight "Glass" that Broke off... ( I hate these *@#@@# things..). I am wondering if while I'm in there if I need to make any Changes to the "Bolt on and go... " Carb
I was getting ready to adjust the Fuel mixture screws, when this whole thing started, as the Motor is running way to rich. (pipes are Black inside, as is my bumper above the outlets..)
The Factory Settings are:
Primary Jet: 72
Sec Jet : 75
Pump Discharge nozzle: .025
Power Valve: 65
Secondary spring: Silver
The Motor is my 454.. . Its an 8.5 compression motor, running a Crane H-266-2 Cam, not degreed (though the timing set can be degreed 4 degrees Av or Ret.)
Advertised Duration is : 266int/274exh
Duration @ .050 is : 210int/218exh
Lobe separation is : 114
Gross lift is : .485int/.502exh
The rear-end ratio calculated out to roughly 4:10 ( that was with 29" rear tires, they are now 28" ). Rough weight estimate is 4000# (without me.. with the old small block and 1/4 tank gas it Weighed 3700# ).
Any help would be great..
