I just bought some Windsor Jr heads and they have O-ring grooves cut in them. What head gasket do I need to use?------------------ David G. 1969 Mustang Sportsroof 302 with 3 Speed Stick !!!Totally Stock!!! (For Now...;))

If you don't use o-rings in the block, you can use any gaskets you like. The grooves in the heads are teh reciever grooves. My choice as always is the Victor Reintz 3428SG.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Thanks Alex. Are Fel-Pros ok? That's the only kind I've ever used.

OH NO! Not the 'F' word I use Fel-Pro on just about everything except the head gaskets. Don't do it for an iron block/aluminum head combo ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

I am not a fan of the Fel-Pro head gasket so let you consience be your guide. I use their products on most every other place in the engine, but the heads. Victor Reintz is my choice for most SBF applications.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
