A friend of mine told me today he had a brand new Comp Cams magnum timing set (#2138) that he would sell me for a good price (he went with an adjustable setup). My question is are these good, dependable sets? I really dont need to be able to retard/advance the cam as it is just a stock cam in a stock engine. It will be occasionally raced and may have a small shot of nitrous in the future. I just want a quality piece .

It's OK.
Comp does not make the timing sets. They buy them from various manufacturers.
