Skeeter, does the sticker not have a date punched out of the silver material? If not, then yes, it is an older scattershield. Both of my Lakewood scattershields (428 FE for the Fairmont race car, & SB Ford for the 85 Mustang) have tha same style of date "punch out" like those used for saftey harnesses, or many car batteries. I can`t really recall any tech inspector asking the expiry date, but you never know. The whole idea of a time limit on scattershields has always irked me. I mean, if you don`t have a clutch blow up, then whats to wear out? And if you did have a clutch let go, the can would likely be so distorted it would be garbage anyhow.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd
