The valve tips are pretty chewed up on the 289 that I'm putting in my sisters coupe.Looks like I'm gonna have to pull the heads and get a valve job done.I want to get away from these rail rockers so this won't happen again.I think the cheapest way to go is with the rail type roller tipped rockers from comp cams.I could switch to the earlier style rocker but then I would have to have the heads machined for screw in studs and guide plates so I wouldn't be any further ahead budget wise.Anyone got any other ideas?------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html
