I'm building a 76 Cobra II to road race in SCCA. For the class I'm in I have to run the original 2.8 V-6 with very limited modifications. I'm looking for anyone that has raced (club racing or Solo II) a Mustang II that has tips on suspension or V-6's.Thanks again for your help

I run a 1977 Mustang II in Solo II competition, using a 302 V8. The most important thing I found was to make sure you get the front end stiff enough. The V6 may not require the 1000 lbs. springs with the 1.5 inch solid sway bar that I run, but it should be close. It's difficult to keep the front end from "collapsing" in the turns.Rick Ruth

Try Team Blitz for 2.6L and 2.8L engine stuff. He caters to the imported early Capris which used the same engines. He should have pistons, intakes, cams, etc.http://www.teamblitz.com/ Dan Jones
