I have a 68 mustang 1/8th mile bracket car never had it on scales guessing 3200 with me. 351W stock heads mild port 9:5:1 Crane solid 244/252@50 553/572 108ls Holley Street dominator 750 dp C6 3800 stall 4.56 28" quick time pros CE 90/10 50/50 shocks & SSM lift bars Last year it ran high 8.50's low 8.60's with 60 ft usually 1.98-2.01 over the winter I changed the convertor had one that would only flash @2000 and went from 4.11 to 4.56 Sunday it went 8.33 1.83 60 ft 83.6 MPH hooking good no apparent tire spin which is good but I thought it would run at least low 20's or teens. Just wondering what everyone thought, I know the C6 is costing 2 or 3 tenths but i thought what i had would run better any suggestions.

Most people who have tried the Holley "Street Dominator" intakes hate them. Maybe a Victor Jr would help you a little.

I have a new RPM intake that has been in the garage for couple of months now, going to put it on tonight. Wanted to run it a couple of weeks without then put it on that way I could see how much it helps.

Any tips Alex is this combination good for better ET's if so what does it need/missing or is this a good ET for what I have. What about changing the valve lash would that help? Though maybe loosing it up would help pick up the 60 ft and first 330 ft some.

Which heads are you using? Is your converter actually stalling 3800? I am no expert, but my dad has a car similar to yours. I would change the intake, up the gears to about 5.14 or so, make sure the converter is actually stalling 3800 or better, and lock out your timing. Also the c-6 is killing you. Your car could run in the mid 7's with a little fine tuning.
