Believe me I'd love to support Alex but from what I've heard with all the shipping and the taxes and stuff to get it across the border into Canada it ends up being just as expensive or more than it is here. You can't imagine how frustrating it is too see comp cams for $99 dollars from Alex or Summit and up here they are around $350 My local Karbelt(don't know if they have those in the States)is having a big sale this month so I wanted to grab a few things while the sale is on.So any more opinions on timing chains? ------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html [This message has been edited by mustangboy (edited 03-20-2003).]

We ship to Canada via USPS or Fed Ex International ground. It's reasonable as long as it is not COD.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Mustangboy, I have purchased several items from Alex, most recently some Comp Cams pieces, & his prices were better than the Summit catalog!! I live in BC, 1/2 hour from the US border, and I always get my stuff sent to a parcel depot in a Washington state border town. When the package arrives, they call me, & I run down and pick it up, as well as some "cheap" $2.00 a gallon US gas. Here it`s almost $4.00 a gallon Canadian I then handle the paperwork myself at Canada Customs, which is much cheaper than dealing with a Customs Broker. If you don`t live near a border, then this isn`t as easy.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

Rory can you explain this in a little more detail.Lets say you've bought something for $100 dollars US just to keep things simple. What next and how much? I'm a couple of hours from the Niagara Falls border so it would be worth it in some situations.------------------ 1968 mustang j-code sprint.13.69@101 306cu.in, stock ported heads, weiand exellerator,650 holley DP,hedman hedders, comp 292 Magnum cam,4-speed,8 inch 4.11 detroit locker http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/mustangboy.html
