I just talked too a buddy around the corner from my house who works in a garage and he was putting n.o.s in his cobra. Is this stuff safe? I dont know much about it. I did a search but didnt come up with much. What type of engines can it be used on? Can u get a kit for a relatively stock engine? Do u have too use a special carb? Just trying too figure out whats what. He is the first person around here that Ive seen use it. Yes, I am from a small backwoods town. Originally from philly, but now i am in the sticks.

No,

It's just another power adder. Used correctly it is no more "dangerous" than a blower or a turbo. Do a little research on the web and a search on this forum and you'll find all kinds of good info.

Good luck,

Anything you do to your car can be conisdered cheating, to someone who doesn't have all of your mods.

If a part is available to everyone, how is it cheating? No one ever gives up all their mods anyway.

If your motor is solid, why pull the heads or change the cam, when you can spray it?

Personally, I want my engine to last. I Know a proper NOS setup will not damage your engine, but if your fuel system leans-out or quits, your engine is scrap.

I like being able to say, "all motor". But, my motor is stroked. If I look under your hood, I'll find your extra lines and solenoids. Can you see my crank?

The only thing that really gets respect is the amount of work YOU put into your car.

I've come to have more respect than I used to for nitrous, but you still get these guys that say there car is absolutely stock or that it doesn't have nitrous. You line em up and smoke the guy out of the hole, pull em a little in second, another length in 3rd and all of a sudden he is a car length and half in front of you as you hit high gear. When its all over and you've lost you say whats up with that and the guy will say oh thats just where my cam starts to pull really good.Yeah right

Nitrous isn't cheating unless you're hiding it. If you didn't pull up much on a search, try searching for nitrous and not for NOS as that is just a brand name.
