That's what I thought at first too, due to the shaft-lubed rockers. ....I can't say I know much about the Y-blocks; but I didn't think the FEs had their oil pump being driven at the rear of the block?????? HHHMmmmmmm........

Oh I don't know Steve, it's about the same vintage as an FE, Edsel engine. SteveW

Oil pump and distributer are in the wrong place for an FE! Looks like some sort of belt driven cam too. Might just be a 'generic' drawing. I guess it's been too many years since I worked on an FE, even longer since I worked on a Y-block.I thought 56 was the last Packard year. John

You could be right! I don't follow Packards though, it's just the only oiling diagram I found on the net. SteveW

SteveW, the one I have is for a Cleveland. {It isn't right, either, it leaves out the passage for the oil sending unit}------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com
