Hey Bracket racers! (Instead of leaving on a 3 step, 2 step etc.. have you considered one of the throttle controllers? I just got one and I think it's THE BOMB it keeps you from hearing all that RAT A TAT crap your motor goes through on the MSD rev limiter/ soft touch/ whatever. I think those things are hard on motors, just my opinion. You go from IDLE to wide Open Throttle QUICK. You can use your delay box to activate it. You can get all the parts from WW Granger and a truck supply place. Cost less that way. One more thing, you ever notice all the guys complaining about electronics and air shifters, cars driving themselves and no fun to drive are almost always SLOWER I love it. Bottom line is it's FUN to win. It's fun to walk up to the tower and collect a couple grand with a bunch of CHEVY guys griping about it. ------------------ Jerry 69 Mustang Pro ET Drag 70 Mustang retired former footbrake car " If Bracket Racing was EZ everyone would be doing it!"

Jerry,Do you have a link to more info on ACD? Sounds good, but if we use is as a down track controller it isn't allowed in Div 7's version of "no e". SteveW

Steve, You don't have to use them as throttle stops. Just use it as a launch control. Eliminate the three step. You can also use it to slow down your 60 ft's on Slick tracks. Keith Fulp a racer on dragnet sent me an email on how to home make your own. If you want I'll forward it to you. A friend of mine uses a throttle control with good success at the local track. He went to a different track for a big race and they wouldn't let him use it. He had to completely remove it from the car before he could pass tech. Check you local track rules.------------------ Ben Grabber Green '70 Mach I 351C 4V Robbin Egg Blue '79 Fairmont 351C 4V

When are you going to come over and dig thru all my junk?.....lol ------------------ Larry No fast Fords at this time but one fine cruising 96 F350 CC DRW Power Strokin diesel. I've got a throttle stop on my dragster. Came with one. I'm not going to use it for a stop. I've got it hooked up to the delay box as an Auto Start. My box has an output for the solenoid. I can hit a button and go pedal to the floor when bumping in during staging. The engine stays at idle. It goes to full throttle against the 2 step 1 second before the transbrake releases. But it's still on the two step for one second. I would guess that I can use it in place of the two step by hooking the solenoid up to the transbrake output. Is that correct? Later, David Cole

yes Dave you can and if you have one of those adjustable ones you can leave hard, soft, etc. Most tracks let you use them for a Launch control, it's no different than a two step. I think I would like the way yours is set up Dave. Basically, it sounds like your "Box" has two outputs, one for the throttle and one for the transbrake. Best of both worlds. Can the time be adjusted between them? Man that would be the ticket. Larry, I may need to slide down to Montgomery SOON I am on vacation all next week and I was going to work on my car, buy some fuel and visit some relatives in Memphis and some In laws in North East Texas. L.A. ( lower alabama ) isn't exactly on the way to Texas. What are you going to do with the Co2 stuff? Sell it? Is Montgomery racing yet? ------------------ Jerry 69 Mustang Pro ET Drag 70 Mustang retired former footbrake car " If Bracket Racing was EZ everyone would be doing it!"
