What can the problem be? I had my C-4 rebuilt. When I installed it and tried it out, it has no low range . It will go into second, reverse and high range but no low range.

Needless to say this kill the 60 foot times. I can't come up with a reason for not having a low range (gear).

We need more info Gary. Is it a full manual or automatic valve body? What's the fluid smell like? What do you mean by "tried it out"?

My first guess is shifter adjustment.
Assuming a manual valve body.

Assuming it isn't something simple like shifter adjustment, the only thing I can think of that would allow all gears to work except for first would be related to the sprag. The forward clutch works (second and third work) the intermediate band works (second) and the reverse/high clutch works (third and reverse). The sprag rollers and springs can be installed wrong and if the sprag doesn't hold, no first gear.
