If the trans brake is rocking the car, what happens if the car launches on a back roll, as opposed to a launch on forward roll. I think that steve needs to stop the movement.

That all depends on the timing system being used. Generally they only use that style at the tracks that are paronoid about guys using delayboxes in non-delay box classes. IP: Logged |

The rocking deal seems to be a problem with all C-4's that have brakes. MM does it also.
The only way I can stop it from doing that is to stage using the trans brake only and not suing the foot brake to bump in.
I can't wait until Steve gets som mono leaf Flex-i-Forms and Cal Tracks on that puppy.
That Mopar leave is killing that poor car.

I must be lucky, mine doesn't do that. I even bump in using the brake pedal. IP: Logged |

Look at it again and concentrate on the right side of the frame on the Autilite sign. It's Eric moving the camera, not the car rocking. It fooled me too until I looked closer. You still on for Sac T&T Sat after this? Gotta shoot for a 11.90, and a 10.50 SteveW IP: Logged |

 | posted 02-19-2003 10:02 PM Two things that have helped the rocking situation for us.
 1) the new Royal Purple RTF
2)putting some heat in the fluid prior to the burn out.

The car wasn't rocking, the camera was. No offence to anyone, it looked like it was rocking to me too. She bumps into the staging bulb with the t-brake and it rocks during that operation, but by the time the lights start coming down it's steady as a rock. (No, not like a chebby!) LOL
