i will be using the late model deck height piston in my 69 351w, which head gaskets should i use so that the pistons do not stick out above deck height?

The gasket bore diameter won't stop the piston from completing its stroke, but the cylinder head might get in the way
I'm not real clear on your question... are you using pistons for a taller deck block in a shorter one??? If so, bad idea

You need to do some mock up and measuring first.

i cant find pistons that will be below deck on my 351w, all the pistons that i see are for the late taller blocks.

i want to use the keith black silvolite pistons but on their web site it says

*Pre 1971 blocks have a .020 in. shorter deck height and do not provide adequate stock for squaring or cleaning up the block. KB pistons used in these blocks will be above the deck.

what should i do?

in an earlier post i remember Rustang saying that he used felpro gaskets stacked with copper shim gaskets to bring the pistons to zero deck. will this work? if so what gaskets should i use?
