There is a place in Galesburg Illinois that does nothing else, and you will get a better deal there. Rick Benson has been doing this for over twenty years.

Also try www.garysraceengineparts.com These NASCAR takeoffs are never cheap that I have seen. Maybe compared to new CNC Yates heads, but otherwise still very expensive.

Price is relative compared to what it costs to produce new. The used chebbie (prior to GEN II)Nascar stuff has always been 30 to 50 cents on a dollar. Many of our IHRA SS/PDQXYZ racer friends have been buying and using the left over Nascar or Busch chebbie stuff for years. That's why those classes were created in the first place. I'm certain that some of our long time NC residents can shed more light on the subject. Our friend at Gibbs tells me that they shovel the stuff out of their shops. By the way, Gibbs at least sells NO complete engines, only parts.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." There are deals of a lifetime to be had for sure. Back in the 90's I saw a freshened up 357 right out of Ernie Elliot's shop, complete with all parts, (dry sump tank too) and dyno sheet, + the trans and all go for $8,500! Another example would be the cranks, and rods which were sometimes new, for less than 1/3 price of new. If you have never been into circle track racing, and the auctions that goon aound the country, you would be amazed. I bought new K-Motion springs in the box for $2! Everything sells, no matter what. I bought new SVO balancers for $5 each, dry sump pans for $20, roller cams for $20-30. At Rockfor one year, My buddie bought Joe Shears Championship ASA car as a roller, (with 4 sets of wheels an tires) for $2,500. Adding the engine, trans, shocks, seat, and a few other items made for a great short track car ready to race for the price of just a chassis. Its a little late this year, but plan to attend some next fall/winter. The only hitch?, you must like blizzards, as it never fails to be a great white out every time. I think I will go lay out in the sun in an hour, LOL. Alex, you lucked out and missed the snow in Ark.
