I have a 289 with c4. I want to add some sort of shift kit to my tranny. I dont want something that will allow me to accidently drop into 1st gear going 90mph , but I want something that will make my tranny shift a lot harder. First off, what is the best kit out there for my application? second, how much will it change my transmission and shifts? One more thing..I dont want a kit that I have to start drilling the valve body or anything like that, I dont wanna screw something up. thanks! It depends on the year of the C-4 you have. It needs to be a 67 or newer select shift valve body with the 1-2-3-N-R-P pattern. I haven't seen a shift kit for a green dot Valve body yet. I like the Trans Go product personally. You can tailor the shifts to your liking with their kits.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
