Ok, who makes a good timing set (chain and gears) for a 5.0? I know Ford does but is there anyone elses you all would recommend? Doesnt need to be a racing one (only occasionally gets ran and never high rpms), just one that wont screw up after 3K mile . ------------------ Tim M&M Member #35 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 I6, Holley 2300, Clifford header, true duals w/ 26" Smithys 1988 Mustang GT AOD vert, 15.810 @ 88.871 mph 100% stock w/ no traction https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/I65Stang.html

Alex really likes the Dynagear sets. I have used them with no problems in my racemotor.

How loud are those puppy's, KV? I mean, I know that's a relative term, seeing as how it's on your '69, right? But for a daily driver, aren't they pretty obnoxious? I am assuming they only come as a gear drive, or do Dynagears come in chain too? Stewart [This message has been edited by Stewart (edited 01-08-2003).]

Sooo,What was wrong with the old timing set? Any cheapo double roller chain should live a LOT longer than 3,000 miles. SteveW

Not sure yet Steve, have to pull the front off (just cranked it and looked down at the cam, no spinning).------------------ Tim M&M Member #35 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 I6, Holley 2300, Clifford header, true duals w/ 26" Smithys 1988 Mustang GT AOD vert, 15.810 @ 88.871 mph 100% stock w/ no traction https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/I65Stang.html
