I set them at .022 I and E while hot per spec. They got sounding a bit loud, so I checked them. They were all at .024-.025 after only 600 miles (the last time I had the valve covers off). Comp ProMagnum roller rockers w/ locks on 7/16" studs.Ok, this is my first solid cam. I don't mind the maintenence or I'd have installed a girlieman cam. Still, I was expecting to need to reset the lash at 2000+ miles... am I doing something wrong? ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

That's normal Todd. It will take about 1000-1500 miles for everything to seat. After that they'll stay close for 2-3k miles.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
