Is this car a daily driver that will never see the track?
Or an ocassionally driven street/strip car?

steve, my car is mostly street driven, but i would take it to the track on accasion, so thats where i have the problem, do i build it up to 450 to 500 hp or just leave it be,. i was thinking n20 just a 100 shot it would be cheaper to do, but i dont know if i like the stuff on my 69mach1, im more big motor kind of guy, i would like it down the middle street and strip without a high stall converter over 3000, not good in stop and go traffic, where i live, so thats what im trying to fiqure out,400 hp 380ft lbs @3100 isnt to bad from light to light, lot of people say just leave it alone you have a good street car, any ideas.

If you want the best of both worlds, I see a N2O plate system in your future.
Nitrous really wakes up the bottom end of your torque curve too.

BTW, I think a small change in cam with the same converter will show marginal results. I wouldn't bother.

Good Luck,

steve, yea thanks, mark bittle from panhandle said he could do my heads and a custom cam and a vic jr manifold flowed to the heads, so i might see what happens with that, could see 400 ft lbs and 500 ponies for less than 2500 dollars if i decide what route im going, maybe send the converter out for more stall, anyway i got some thinking to do, only thing that bothers me is i got a good foundation but small numbers for a 408, 300rwhp when i should be at 350 to 400 at the wheels, its all how fast do you want to go, thanks for the help, looking into nx system also, little spray on the side just in case.
