KV, you can run brackets or Open Comp. They have a bracket race at each event. Same distance (1/8 or 1/4) as whatever the track runs for it's weekly program. They also have Open Comp. It's a .500 *Pro Tree* No Box 1/4 bracket race, but you are allowed to break out by up to .10 Ex: dial it a 10.00 flat. You can run as quick as 9.90 and still win if you get there first. This class is open to your car. They won't let me in with me dragster though Has to be a Ford body and engine. That's about it for rules except for the normal safety stuff. You can enter both the bracket and Open Comp Races at the same event and race both. Class rules: http://www.nmraracing.com/rules/open_comp/ Give it a try! These races are lot's of fun. Is Bowling Green NHRA? If it is, I'm not legal to run there as fast as my car will run now (it should go 9.90 in the heat of the summer). It's not NHRA certified for quicker than 10.00, and I dont have an NHRA Super Gas license.

Yes, they are NHRA. The bracket race at BG is 1/8 mile though. So you wouldn't need a license. Last year they didn't tech most of the bracket cars. Started to, but they had so many they stopped. Just had them bring their tech card up. I saw some cars that I knew wouldn't pass tech, but they all raced. I don't a Super Comp license either. Don't forget Reynolds, Ga either. Looked at a map and it's actually closer to you then Bowling Green. About 450 vs 575 miles. Come on down. We'll have a get together. Later, David Cole
